Greetings, fellow animal enthusiasts! Hold on to your leashes because we have some exciting news. The first-ever PetFest in Medicine Hat is happening, and we couldn’t be more pumped! And believe us when we say that this festival is going to be the cat’s meow (pun intended).
Check it out – Explore Medicine Hat has assembled an all-star team to create the biggest and best pet festival Southern Alberta has ever seen. And wait, there’s more! All the profits made from this fur-tastic event will go to the Animal Food Bank Foundation, who help feed animals in need. A pet event benefiting pets in our community? Yes, please!
So come one, come all! Bring your family and your pets for an unforgettable day filled with shopping, delicious pet treats, demonstrations, a silent auction, pet charactures, a kids zone and so much more.

What is PetFest?
Organized by our team of volunteers at Explore Medicine Hat and marketed through Rad Marketing, we have so many fun things planned for you!
Pet Market: There will be vendors set up at our pet market to celebrate all things pets. Pets and their humans will find fun things to explore and buy at the event! The best part? Your pet can shop with you!
Pet Charactures: We expect this to be our most popular part of PetFest! Bring your pet(s) in for a hand drawn characture and watch your pets cartoon alter-ego come to life! All proceeds to the Animal Food Bank!
Pet Demos: Dog agility, pet first aid, and more! We will have interactive live demonstrations throughout the day!
Kids Zone: Bouncy castles, balloon animals, face painting…we are a family-friendly event and have something for the kids to do!
Pupcake Breakfast: Bring your dog down for a pupcake breakfast – pancakes made especially for the pups.
Photo Booth: Come get your pets photo taken in our fun photo booth – you can take your own picture and there will also be a professional photographer on site!
Fill The Truck: Bring a donation of pet food with you and help us fil the truck! Support hungry pets and animals in need in Medicine Hat!
Puppicino Bar: Make sure your pup visits our puppicino bar for their dog-friendly treat of whipped cream topped with a dog cookie.
Silent Auction: Come and check out our silent auction and bid on our great prizes! All proceeds to the Animal Food Bank.
Admission is free (thanks to our title sponsor)! We will be accepting donations at the door for the Animal Food Bank.

Be a Market Vendor
PetFest will be marketing to pet lovers in Southern Alberta and aims to become the largest pet appreciation event in the region. Our Market is open to any business to showcase and sell their pet or human related products and services. Priority will be given to vendors who have pet-related products or services included in their offerings! This event is pet and family friendly. All proceeds go to the Animal Food Bank to help animals in our community.
